Job Title: Senior Project Management SpecialistSector/Institution: General MaintenanceJob Grade: 14Department: General Maintenance DepartmentJob PurposeProvide technical expertise and advice on all work related to projects classified as complex, for all stakeholders in the department and relevant parties; study and review contractual claims related to projects, standard contract terms, legislation governing contractors and consultants, and project variation orders, in line with the department's plans and directions.Main TasksStudy and review contractual claims for complex-classified projects submitted by consultants/contractors and provide appropriate notes and guidance to the direct supervisor for approval as needed.Study and review variation orders for complex-classified projects submitted by consultants/contractors and provide appropriate notes and guidance to the direct supervisor for approval as needed.Handle, as assigned, the review and preparation of interior design proposals for projects, and submit appropriate proposals/recommendations to the direct supervisor.Review draft memoranda of understanding with external parties related to the department's scope of work and prepare related notes in coordination with the department's sections and other relevant departments.Review standard contract terms and legislation governing contractors and consultants; propose simplifications, identify weaknesses, and develop proposals to improve them.Participate in resolving engineering disputes with contractors/consultants and prepare amicable settlement agreements that protect the entity's rights and contract terms, in coordination with relevant departments.Apply modern systems and methods within the specialization to raise the technical standard of projects; use advanced software for architectural design processes to improve working methods in line with the latest developments.Stay current on best practices in project management, conduct benchmarking studies, and submit recommendations to the direct supervisor.Participate in auditing the department's various sections for compliance with defined processes; submit reports, recommendations, improvement areas, and lessons learned to the direct supervisor, and follow up on process development accordingly.Prepare periodic reports on executed work and projects, covering achievements, obstacles, and difficulties affecting workflow, along with necessary proposals and recommendations to address them.Comply with information security and data protection policies per the entity's approved data classification system, report any violations or security breaches through designated channels, and participate in information security training programs.Perform any other duties related to the nature of the job as assigned.RequiredBachelor's degree in any engineering specialization12+ years of experience in project management (complex projects, claims, variation orders)Strong experience reviewing contractual claims, variation orders, and standard contract termsAdvanced capability in project performance evaluation and project cost estimation (including CAD/AutoCAD)PreferredExperience resolving engineering disputes and preparing settlement agreementsExposure to benchmarking, best‑practice studies, and improving project management processes
