The successful Senior Project Manager will have a clearly defined path toward Project Executive, with the opportunity to take on larger client relationships, mentor project teams and become part of the company’s next generation of leadership.What You’ll DoLead complex construction projects from preconstruction through final completionManage project budgets, schedules, contracts, procurement and financial reportingDevelop strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers and subcontractorsLead owner, architect and contractor meetingsPartner closely with preconstruction and estimating during pursuit, budgeting and buyoutWork alongside superintendents to develop schedules, logistics plans and execution strategiesReview subcontractor proposals and negotiate scopes, contracts and change ordersIdentify project risks early and develop practical solutions before they affect deliveryMaintain accurate cost projections, cash-flow forecasts and project reportingSupport project teams with decision-making, mentorship and career developmentOversee project engineers, assistant project managers and project managersManage closeout, turnover and ongoing client relationshipsContribute to business development, client presentations and future project pursuitsBuild the leadership capabilities required to progress into a Project Executive positionWhat We’re Looking ForAt least 8 years of commercial construction experience with a General ContractorPrevious experience managing projects valued above $20 millionExperience across one or more of the company’s core sectorsStrong understanding of preconstruction, estimating, scheduling, procurement and project financialsAbility to lead clients and project teams with confidenceA collaborative leadership style without egoStrong communication, problem-solving and relationship-management skillsAbility to develop junior team members and create accountability across a projectBachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or a related field preferredThe CultureThe company has built a culture where talented people are given room to perform.There is no unnecessary micromanagement, internal competition or pressure to navigate layers of corporate politics.
