Senior Project Manager – Bridge Construction Lower Mainland, BC | Major Infrastructure Projects Canterra Group has been engaged to recruit an experienced Senior Project Manager for a leading heavy civil contractor in the Lower Mainland.This is a senior opportunity for a construction professional with significant bridge and heavy civil project experience who wants to take a leadership role delivering complex infrastructure projects in British Columbia.Our client has an established presence in the BC infrastructure market and is looking for a Senior Project Manager who can provide leadership across all aspects of project delivery—from preconstruction and planning through execution, commercial management and closeout. The Opportunity As Senior Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of major bridge and heavy civil projects.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeLeading complex bridge and heavy civil construction projectsDeveloping project execution strategies, schedules and budgetsManaging project teams, subcontractors and key stakeholdersOverseeing project cost control, forecasting and financial performanceManaging contracts, change orders, claims and commercial issuesWorking closely with owners, consultants and project partnersIdentifying and managing project risksSupporting procurement and subcontractor negotiationsProviding leadership and mentorship to Project Managers, Project Coordinators and site teamsEnsuring projects are delivered safely, profitably and to the required quality standardsRequirements We're interested in speaking with accomplished Project Managers and Senior Project Managers who have delivered bridge construction projects in British Columbia.Ideally, You Will BringSignificant Project Management experience within heavy civil constructionDirect experience delivering bridge construction projectsStrong understanding of concrete structures and complex civil constructionExperience managing large project teams and subcontractorsStrong commercial, contractual and cost-management capabilitiesExperience dealing directly with owners, consultants and other project stakeholdersA track record of successfully delivering complex infrastructure projectsStrong leadership and communication skillsExperience working on projects for BC transportation authorities, municipalities or other major public infrastructure owners would be particularly relevant.
