The team also provides experienced project leaders and specialists to strengthen client delivery teams and support the successful execution of major projects.Role DescriptionCDI Experts is currently recruiting a Senior Project Manager to support a major M&E contractor delivering a significant Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in NSW, together with a growing pipeline of energy infrastructure projects.This is a full-time role suited to someone based in Sydney or within reasonable commuting distance, with travel to project sites across NSW as required.The Senior Project Manager will take a key role in the delivery of the BESS project from mobilisation and construction through to commissioning and handover. Responsibilities will include managing programme, cost, commercial performance, subcontractors, procurement, safety, quality and client interfaces.The role requires a strong delivery-focused Project Manager who understands the demands of working within a major contractor or subcontractor environment and can lead multidisciplinary teams to achieve project outcomes.QualificationsProven Senior Project Manager / Project Manager experience delivering major energy or infrastructure projects.Strong contractor or subcontractor delivery background is essential.Demonstrated experience within BESS, HV, power, substations, renewables or major M&E / electrical infrastructure projects.Experience managing projects from mobilisation and construction through commissioning and handover.Strong understanding of construction programmes, project controls, procurement and subcontractor management.Strong commercial and contractual management capability, including variations, claims, cost control and forecasting.Proven ability to manage major subcontractors, suppliers and project interfaces.Strong client and stakeholder management skills.Ability to lead large, multidisciplinary project teams and drive programme, safety, quality, cost and commercial outcomes.Strong problem-solving capability and ability to manage project risks, delays and delivery issues.Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership and reporting skills.Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management, project management or a related discipline.Experience delivering large-scale BESS projects in Australia would be highly regarded.Must be Sydney-based or located within reasonable commuting distance of Sydney, with flexibility to attend project sites across NSW.This is an opportunity to take a senior delivery role on a major NSW BESS project, with visibility and potential involvement across a broader pipeline of upcoming energy and electrical infrastructure projects.
