A growing, $200M general contractor headquartered in downtown Chicago is looking to add a Senior Project Manager to its leadership team.The company is coming off a record-breaking year and already has the secured pipeline to deliver another year of significant growth. With several high-value projects moving forward across the greater Chicagoland area, they are looking for an experienced construction professional who can lead major multifamily, mixed-use and commercial developments from preconstruction through closeout.This is an opportunity to join an established contractor during an exciting period of expansion, take ownership of prominent local projects and play a meaningful role in the continued growth of the business.ResponsibilitiesLead high-value multifamily, commercial and mixed-use projects throughout the greater Chicagoland areaManage projects from preconstruction and procurement through construction and final closeoutOversee project schedules, budgets, cost reporting, contracts and change managementCoordinate with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors and internal field teamsWork closely with Superintendents to maintain project quality, safety and scheduleLead project meetings and provide clear reporting to clients and senior leadershipMentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and Project EngineersIdentify project risks early and develop practical solutionsMaintain strong relationships with clients and contribute to repeat businessCandidate ProfileAt least 8 years of experience in commercial constructionProven experience managing large or complex projects for a general contractorExperience with multifamily, mixed-use or commercial construction preferredStrong knowledge of project financials, scheduling, contracts and change managementExcellent leadership, communication and client-facing skillsAbility to manage multiple stakeholders and make confident project decisionsBachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or a related field preferredCompensation and BenefitsBase salary up to $170,000, depending on experienceAnnual bonus generally between 15% and 20%$800 monthly vehicle allowanceOne work-from-home day per weekComprehensive health, dental and vision insurance401(k) plan with company contributionGenerous paid time offLocal Chicagoland project portfolioClear long-term progression within a growing organization
