Senior Project Manager, Live Events & Production

Location: South London, 5 days/week in-officeContract: Permanent, full-timeSalary: Competitive, DOESector: Live Events / Event Production / ExperientialI’m working with an established global live event production and design company looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their growing team in South East London.This is a senior, hands-on delivery role, taking ownership of some of the company's largest and most technically complex live projects, from initial brief through to final delivery.We're looking for someone with serious live event production experience, strong knowledge across both technical and scenic disciplines, and the commercial confidence to manage significant budgets while protecting the quality of the finished event.The RoleYou'll take end-to-end ownership of major projects, including:Leading large-scale live event projects from brief through to completionBuilding and managing critical paths across multiple production workstreamsActing as a senior point of contact for clients throughout the projectTranslating ambitious creative briefs into safe, practical and commercially viable production solutionsWorking closely with design, technical, scenic and operations teams to develop the right approachProviding clients with clear recommendations around production methodology, costs and deliveryManaging technical crews, freelancers, suppliers and specialist subcontractorsOverseeing fabrication, scenic production and technical delivery against agreed specificationsManaging complex production budgets of £500k+Taking ownership of project margins, identifying commercial risks early and finding practical solutionsManaging project reconciliation and ensuring accurate financial close-outOverseeing documentation, project handovers and consistently high standards of on-site deliveryManaging health & safety, RAMS, permits and site complianceLeading project debriefs and sharing learnings across the wider teamSupporting and mentoring colleagues, helping to raise standards across project deliveryStepping into broader project leadership responsibilities when requiredAbout YouThis is a senior role, so you'll need to be comfortable taking the reins on large, complex live productions without significant hand-holding.You'll ideally bring:Extensive experience delivering large-scale live events and productionsStrong working knowledge across technical production and scenic buildExperience managing complex £500k+ production budgetsStrong commercial awareness, including margin management, cost control and reconciliationSignificant experience delivering projects internationallyExperience coordinating local suppliers, freight, logistics and permits across different territoriesStrong client-facing skills and the credibility to advise senior stakeholdersExperience managing multidisciplinary crews, suppliers and subcontractorsExcellent understanding of event health & safety and on-site deliveryStrong negotiation, organisation and problem-solving skillsA calm, proactive approach when working under pressureGenuine interest in emerging production technology and new approaches to live deliveryThe flexibility to travel internationally, sometimes for extended periodsYou may naturally lean more towards technical or scenic production, but you'll need enough knowledge across both to confidently take ownership of the entire project.The SetupThis is an office-based role in South London, so you'll need to be comfortable commuting into the office full-time when you're not out delivering projects.There's also a significant international element, so you'll need to be happy travelling when projects require it.If you're an experienced Senior Project Manager / Senior Event Producer / Production Manager who knows how to take a complicated live project, get all the moving parts working together and deliver it brilliantly, I'd love to hear from you.
