Project Manager (Level III/IV) – Mining Sector | Cape TownWe're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading maritime and mining technology company's Cape Town office. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead complex, end-to-end capital projects within the mining industry, working across design, engineering, procurement, fabrication, and commissioning.About the RoleAs Project Manager, you'll take full ownership of assigned projects — managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client relationships from award through to handover. You'll lead a cross-functional project team and report directly to the Project Engineering Manager, playing a key role in delivering turnkey mining solutions safely, on time, and within budget.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and mobilize project teams during enquiry and award stagesLead project kick-off meetings and secure client sign-off on scope, schedule, and commercial termsDevelop and manage project schedules, budgets, and quality plansOwn the full project lifecycle: proposal, design/engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioningManage supplier relationships and resolve technical/commercial issuesEstablish clear communication channels between the project, client, and internal disciplinesIdentify and manage project risks, and escalate constraints proactivelyCompile and enforce HS&E plans across all project phasesManage change requests, ensuring financial and schedule impacts are documentedMonitor expenditure to ensure delivery within approved budgetWhat You'll NeedB.Tech / B.Sc / B.Eng in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic EngineeringA Project Management qualificationRegistered (or eligible for registration) as a Professional Engineer with ECSA10–12 years' project management experience, ideally within Mining, Oil & Gas, Mineral Processing, or Heavy EngineeringStrong leadership, organisational, and communication skillsAbility to perform under pressure with high attention to detailWillingness to travel and work flexible/extended hours when requiredProficiency in MS Word, Excel, and MS ProjectOwn transportationWhat's on OfferFull-time, permanent contractFlexible working arrangementCompetitive, market-related remunerationThe chance to work with cutting-edge technology on large-scale mining projectsA supportive environment focused on professional growth and development
