Location: BirminghamSector: Infrastructure / HighwaysLevel: Senior Project ManagerThe OpportunityWe are working with a growing UK construction and property consultancy looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to its Birmingham team, supporting the continued development of its infrastructure capability.This opportunity would suit an experienced Project Manager with a background in highways or wider infrastructure who is looking for greater responsibility, visibility and the opportunity to play a meaningful role within a growing consultancy.The RoleAs Senior Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful management and delivery of infrastructure projects, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and key stakeholders.Responsibilities will include:Leading projects through key stages of the project lifecycleManaging programme, risk, cost, quality and overall project objectivesActing as a key point of contact for clients and project stakeholdersCoordinating multi-disciplinary consultant and contractor teamsSupporting project governance, reporting and decision-makingManaging project risks, issues and changeSupporting procurement and consultant appointmentsWorking within NEC contract environments where requiredBuilding strong client relationships and supporting repeat businessProviding guidance and support to junior members of the project management teamAbout YouWe are looking for an established Project Manager who can operate confidently with clients and take ownership of project delivery.You are likely to bring:Experience delivering highways, transportation or major infrastructure projectsA strong project management background, ideally within a consultancy or client-side environmentExperience managing projects across multiple stages of the project lifecycleGood understanding of project controls, including programme, risk, change and reportingExperience working with multiple technical and commercial stakeholdersKnowledge of NEC contracts would be highly beneficialStrong communication and client-facing skillsThe ability to work independently while contributing to a wider project teamA relevant construction, engineering or project management qualificationProfessional accreditation, or progress towards accreditation, would be advantageousWhy Consider the Opportunity?This is an opportunity to join an established but growing consultancy with a strong UK presence and a director-led approach to project delivery.With more than 150 people across seven UK offices, the business offers the capability to work on significant projects while retaining the accessibility and visibility that can sometimes disappear within much larger organisations.If you're currently delivering projects within highways or infrastructure and are considering your next move in Birmingham, I'd be keen to speak with you.
