قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجCompany: Luxury Entertainment Venue Location: Palm Jumeirah, DubaiDepartment: Technical / ProductionReports to: Technical Manager / Show ManagerRole OverviewThe Senior Props Technician is responsible for the preparation, maintenance, repair, positioning and safe operation of theatrical props and scenic elements used within the luxury entertainment venue. This is a hands-on backstage role requiring exceptional attention to detail, consistency and the ability to keep a resident production operating precisely night after night.Key Responsibilities• Prepare, inspect, preset, operate, strike and reset theatrical props for every rehearsal and performance.• Ensure all props are positioned accurately according to approved show plots and cue sequence.• Conduct pre-show and post-show inspections of all show-critical props and scenic elements.• Execute backstage prop changes and cues safely and precisely during performances.• Maintain, repair and modify props using appropriate carpentry, mechanical, fabrication and finishing techniques.• Diagnose failures and perform rapid repairs when technical issues arise between or during performances.• Maintain accurate inventories of props, consumables, spare parts, tools and maintenance materials.• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for show-critical equipment and props.• Coordinate with Stage, Automation, AV, Lighting, Wardrobe and Show Management where props interact with other technical systems or performers.• Assist with scenic repairs, stage equipment and other technical requirements where required.• Support installation, rehearsals, technical runs and changes to the production.• Ensure moving, mechanical or performer-interactive props are inspected and safe before use.• Maintain clean, organized and secure backstage prop storage and work areas.• Document damage, repairs, replacements and recurring technical issues.• Train and supervise junior technicians or assistants in prop handling, presets, resets and maintenance procedures.• Support props and scenic requirements for special events and venue activations then required.Technical Skills & Experience• Theatrical props and scenic maintenance.• Carpentry and woodworking.• Mechanical repairs and basic engineering.• Fabrication and assembly.• Painting, finishing and cosmetic restoration.• Hand and power tools.• Basic electrical troubleshooting advantageous.• Stage automation or mechanical stage systems advantageous.• Reading technical drawings and fabrication plans.• Safe rigging awareness advantageous.• Preventative maintenance and inventory management.Candidate Profile• Minimum 5 years' experience in props, stage technical operations, scenic workshops, theatre, resident entertainment or live events.• Previous experience in a resident theatrical production strongly preferred.• Excellent hands-on fabrication and repair skills.• Strong understanding of backstage operations and live-show safety.• Extremely detail-oriented, with the ability to reproduce presets and show sequences consistently across performances.• Able to perform repairs and technical troubleshooting under tight time constraints.• Experience working around dancers, performers and moving stage equipment preferred.• Comfortable leading junior technicians and taking ownership of a technical area.• Flexible availability for rehearsals, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
