Senior Purchasing Manager

Company Details: Our client is a leading Textile Manufacturing Company.Designation: Senior Manager Purchase (Engineering)Job Location: MumbaiRole Overview:We are looking for an experienced Purchase professional to lead and independently manage engineering procurement activities. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in sourcing engineering-related materials, vendor development, negotiation, and procurement planning.Key Responsibilities:Independently handle end-to-end engineering procurement activities.Source and procure engineering equipment, machinery, spares, consumables, and capital items.Develop and maintain a strong vendor base while identifying new suppliers.Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings.Coordinate with production, maintenance, and projects teams to ensure timely material availability.Monitor inventory levels and optimize procurement planning.Ensure timely purchase order processing, follow-ups, and vendor performance evaluation.Maintain procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies.Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and cost optimization initiatives.Key RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or related discipline) preferred.Minimum 15+ Years of Experience including Minimum 5 years of independent experience in engineering procurement.Overall experience in purchase/procurement within a manufacturing environment.Textile industry experience will be a strong advantage.Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and commercial acumen.Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.Contact Person:Ansuya Satishansuya@uhr.co.in
