This position is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, including vendor identification, negotiation, and contract management for raw materials, packaging, and services. The role involves evaluating supplier performance, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining optimal inventory levels to support uninterrupted production and distribution. The Senior Purchasing Manager collaborates with quality, manufacturing, finance, and logistics teams to align purchasing decisions with business objectives, cost-efficiency, and regulatory requirements. The role also includes analyzing market trends, developing purchasing strategies, preparing periodic reports, and mentoring purchasing staff to enhance departmental performance.Qualifications Strong procurement and vendor management skills, including supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract administration.Experience in inventory planning, demand forecasting, and cost optimization within a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment.Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and use of ERP or purchasing software for decision-making and process tracking.Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements related to materials sourcing.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.Proven leadership skills with experience supervising or mentoring purchasing or supply chain teams.Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving capabilities in a fast-paced environment.Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Pharmacy, or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) are an advantage.Several years of progressive experience in purchasing or supply chain management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
