The company is known for meeting complex civil engineering demands and delivering projects that support the region’s growth and development.Role Description The Senior Purchasing Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. The role is responsible for managing end-to-end purchasing activities, including reviewing purchase requisitions, preparing and issuing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services in line with project requirements. The Senior Purchasing Officer will evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts and pricing, and maintain relationships with vendors to secure optimal terms and quality. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with project and site teams, analyzing procurement data to improve cost efficiency, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, preparing reports for management, and contributing to continuous improvement of procurement processes.Qualifications Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, including end-to-end procurement cycle and vendor management.Hands-on experience with purchase requisitions and purchase orders, including documentation, tracking, and compliance.Proficiency in contract negotiation, including pricing, terms, and supplier performance management.Well-developed analytical skills for evaluating quotations, comparing supplier offers, and optimizing cost and quality.Experience in construction or civil engineering contracting, preferably within infrastructure or building projects.Ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, site teams, and internal stakeholders.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.Proficiency with procurement and ERP systems, and good MS Office skills (especially Excel).Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field; professional procurement certification is an advantage.Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
