Location: Ukraine (Remote within Ukraine)Employment Type: Full-timeEnglish: B2+About the ProjectGrid Dynamics is looking for an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join an international project focused on building a modern enterprise data platform and integration layer on Microsoft Azure.The project involves developing a cloud-based platform that connects multiple enterprise systems, including ERP, CRM, ITSM, and external partner services through REST APIs and Azure integration technologies.You will join a team of experienced engineers and play a key role in defining the quality approach, building API test automation, and ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of system integrations.This is a hands-on automation role with a strong focus on API testing, contract testing, Azure API Management, and CI/CD automation.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain automated tests for REST APIs and system integrations.Implement API contract testing based on OpenAPI specifications, including schema validation and breaking-change detection.Review, improve, and extend generated API contract tests.Test Azure API Management (APIM), including policies, subscriptions, products, versions, and revisions.Validate API gateway behavior and troubleshoot integration issues.Develop API security tests covering OAuth2, authentication, authorization, token validation, and HMAC signatures.Integrate automated tests into Azure DevOps YAML pipelines.Implement automated quality gates and environment-specific test stages.Investigate test failures, improve automation stability, and reduce flaky tests.Collaborate with developers, architects, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders.Identify quality risks, clarify requirements, and drive issues to resolution.Share testing best practices and support other engineers.Requirements5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.3+ years of hands-on API testing and test automation experience.Strong experience testing REST APIs using Postman/Newman, REST Assured, Karate, Playwright API, or similar tools.Practical experience with API contract testing, including OpenAPI, schema validation, breaking-change detection, and consumer-driven contracts (e.g., Pact).Hands-on experience testing Azure API Management (APIM), including policies, subscriptions, products, versions, and revisions.Strong understanding of API security testing, including OAuth2, token validation, HMAC, and OWASP API Security Top 10.Experience with Azure DevOps YAML pipelines, automated quality gates, and CI/CD integration.Experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks.Strong understanding of integration testing, API troubleshooting, and debugging.Ability to work independently and take ownership of testing activities.Good communication and problem-solving skills.English B2+ and ability to collaborate during UK business hours.Nice to HaveExperience with Terraform or Bicep.Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and KQL.Experience with Entra ID, Azure Key Vault, and Azure networking.Experience with mocks and stubs for API testing.Performance testing experience with k6, JMeter, or Azure Load Testing.Experience testing event-driven integrations or messaging systems.Knowledge of SAP integrations or enterprise data platforms.
