With top clients to boast about, Synechron has a global workforce of 17,000, and has 58 offices in 22 countries within key global markets.Our ChallengeWe are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong experience testing distributed software systems, APIs, data pipelines, and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will design and maintain automated test frameworks, validate complex integrations and data workflows, and integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and test suites covering functional, integration, API, UI, regression, and performance testing.Develop comprehensive test scenarios, edge cases, and validation strategies from business requirements and technical designs.Test microservices, event-driven systems, REST APIs, WebSocket services, and messaging-based integrations.Validate data movement, transformations, reconciliations, and end-to-end workflows across multiple systems.Create SQL queries to validate relational databases, ETL processes, data integration workloads, data warehouses, and reporting solutions.Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to improve release quality.Perform performance, load, and reliability testing to identify bottlenecks and assess system behavior.Investigate complex issues across applications, services, integrations, and data pipelines using logs and observability tools.Manage test cases, report defects, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive timely resolution.Build domain knowledge and communicate testing progress, risks, and findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Required QualificationsMinimum 7 years of professional experience testing distributed software systems, APIs, data pipelines, and enterprise applications.Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suites.Proficiency with automation tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, Playwright, Power Automate, Rest Assured, Postman, or equivalent technologies.Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, and/or Python.Experience testing microservices-based architectures, event-driven systems, and distributed applications.Hands-on experience testing REST APIs, WebSocket services, and messaging-based integrations.Experience validating data transformations, reconciliations, and workflows across multiple systems.Strong SQL skills and experience validating data in databases such as PostgreSQL and SQL Server.Experience testing ETL/data integration workloads, data warehouses, and reporting solutions.Experience with messaging and streaming platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, or similar technologies.Exposure to HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or Angular, along with UI test automation.Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.Proficiency in SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices, including integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as PractiTest, Jira, Xray, or Zephyr.Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or k6.Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
