Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Troocoo is partnering with a leading consumer technology and entertainment business to appoint a Senior QA Engineer who will take ownership of quality across product delivery.About the roleThis is a senior, hands-on position for a quality specialist who combines deep testing craft with sound judgment. You’ll set the quality standard within your pod, applying direct testing effort to high-risk areas such as financial transactions and complex system behaviour, while guiding how engineers and AI agents validate the rest.Working as the primary QA alongside iOS, Android and backend engineers, you’ll be part of a modern delivery environment where AI is embedded in day-to-day workflows.Key responsibilitiesChallenge requirements and acceptance criteria early, ensuring they are clear, testable and complete before build beginsLead exploratory and risk-focused testing that uncovers issues automation and AI tools can missEvaluate the verification performed by engineers and AI agents, and define what “done and verified” means for your teamShape a risk-based test strategy across unit, integration, API and end-to-end layers, including performance and security considerationsBuild and refine API, contract and native mobile automation that delivers fast, reliable feedback through CI/CDApply AI to improve test creation and maintenance, while critically assessing the quality of its outputCoach engineers, product managers and designers on quality practice, and mentor junior QA team membersAbout youSolid grounding in test strategy, risk-based testing and test designProven experience testing backend systems, APIs and integrations in distributed environmentsHands-on automation experience across API and native or front-end layers (Playwright is an example, not a requirement)A concrete example of an AI-enabled improvement that measurably lifted QA efficiencySound judgment when working with AI output, including a time you identified an issue that appeared correct but wasn’tExcellent communication, with the confidence to influence stakeholders and challenge assumptions constructivelyWhat’s on offerGenuine ownership of quality, with the opportunity to influence testing strategyA collaborative, fast-paced team working with leading-edge technologyMentoring opportunities, competitive remuneration and clear career progressionIf you are seeking your next position and would like to discuss this opportunity in further and expanded detail, please reach out directly to Dan Nyhuis at daniel.nyhuis@troocoo.com
