Senior Quality Assurance Manager

About the RoleAs Senior Quality Manager, you'll manage the site's Technical function, ensuring legal compliance, food safety and adherence to customer specification, while driving standards on the shop floor.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure Quality Managers are effectively recruited, inducted, trained and managedEnsure team development is in line with talent needs defined by the technical functionSupport external audits, e.g. BRCGS, Red Tractor, retailerMaintain internal audit schedules, ensure audits are completed, and communicate corrective action plans so non-conformances are signed off within agreed timescalesProvide Operations with technical monitoring and auditing so customer requirements are understood and achievedReview the frequency of non-conformances to identify longer-term corrective action plansReview specifications for all products, packaging and ingredients, ensuring versions are current and meet customer specificationsCoordinate investigations into technical customer complaints, ensuring findings and action plans are completed and communicated internally and externallySupport effective relationships with internal and external customers, including during site visitsAct as an effective link between NPD and production, ensuring new or changed products, processes and packaging are introduced effectivelyWhat You'll NeedFood-related HND, Advanced Food Safety Level 4 and Advanced HACCP Level 4Internal auditing qualificationExperience of BRCGS or ISO 9000Leadership skills and experience of motivating teamsAbility to communicate verbally and in writing at all levelsKnowledge and experience of major retailersIf you're ready for your next challenge in Quality Management, apply today.
