Senior QA/QC Engineer – AlUla Projects

Location: AlUla, Saudi ArabiaExperience: Minimum 10 yearsProject Environment: Fast-Track / Rush Construction ProjectsDisciplines: Civil, Architectural, Fit-Out, Structural, MEP, ELV and External WorksJob PurposeWe are looking for experienced, highly committed and target-oriented QA/QC Engineers for fast-track projects in AlUla.The main responsibility is to ensure that inspections, consultant comments, NCRs, snags and quality issues are properly tracked, actioned and closed within the required deadlines, while maintaining project quality and supporting construction progress and handover.Key ResponsibilitiesManage QA/QC activities for the assigned discipline from execution through testing, commissioning and final handover.Maintain a live tracker for all consultant/client comments, including WIR comments, NCRs, site observations, snag lists and technical remarks.Assign every comment to the responsible construction team or subcontractor with a clear target closure date.Follow up outstanding comments daily until physical rectification, reinspection and formal closure are completed.Highlight aging and overdue comments and escalate immediately when closure is affecting progress, inspections or handover.Verify that comments are properly rectified before requesting consultant reinspection.Prevent the repetition of previously raised consultant comments.Ensure previous inspection comments and prerequisite works are closed before submitting subsequent WIRs.Prepare, submit and actively follow up WIRs, MIRs, inspections, testing records and QA/QC documentation.Ensure inspections are raised on time, and works are fully ready before consultant attendance.Coordinate directly with Construction, Engineering, MEP, Planning and subcontractors to resolve quality issues quickly.Review approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, method statements and material approvals before execution.Minimize Code C/rejected inspections, NCRs, repeated comments and rework.Drive closure of NCRs, consultant comments, punch lists and snag lists against agreed weekly targets.Support testing & commissioning, as-built records and handover documentation.Attend consultant/client inspections and provide clear technical explanations when required.Maintain strong site presence, including extended working hours or shifts when required by project priorities.Key Performance ExpectationsPerformance will be measured mainly against:Number and aging of open consultant comments.Weekly consultant-comment closure rate.Closure of overdue comments against agreed target dates.WIR/MIR approval and turnaround time.Reduction of Code C/rejected inspections.NCR closure performance.Reduction of repeated comments and rework.Snag and punch-list closure.Inspection readiness versus construction programme.T&C and handover readiness.Achievement of weekly and final project targets.Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree in civil, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.Minimum 10 years of QA/QC construction experience.Proven experience in fast-track and high-pressure construction projects.Experience in luxury hotels, hospitality, high-end fit-out or complex multidisciplinary projects is highly preferred.Strong knowledge of drawings, specifications, ITPs, method statements, WIRs, MIRs, NCRs and inspection procedures.Saudi Arabia / GCC experience strongly preferred.Good English communication, coordination and reporting skills.Required ProfileThe candidate must be:Hard-working, disciplined, proactive, technically strong, target-driven and highly responsive.The QA/QC Engineer is expected not only to record comments, but to own the complete closure cycle: identify, register, assign, follow up, verify, reinspect and formally close every consultant comment.No comment should remain open without a responsible owner, target date and clear closure action.
