Building on a legacy in oil & gas field services and engineering surveying, Al Mawazeen continues to expand its capabilities and maintain long-term client relationships as a trusted engineering partner.Role Description The Senior Quality Control Officer is responsible for overseeing quality assurance and quality control processes across soil testing, construction material testing, and related laboratory activities. This full-time, on-site role in the United Arab Emirates involves developing and implementing quality control procedures, monitoring test results, and ensuring adherence to relevant standards, regulations, and client specifications. The role includes conducting internal audits, reviewing documentation and reports, supervising sampling and testing protocols, and coordinating corrective and preventive actions. The Senior Quality Control Officer collaborates closely with laboratory staff, project engineers, and management to resolve technical issues, optimize workflows, and maintain consistent, reliable testing outputs. Additional responsibilities include training team members on quality standards, supporting accreditation and compliance requirements, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.Qualifications Strong knowledge of quality assurance and quality control methodologies in geotechnical, construction material, or related laboratory environments.Proficiency in interpreting engineering specifications, international testing standards (e.g., ASTM, BS, EN), and regulatory requirements.Experience in supervising laboratory operations, including sample handling, test execution, data validation, and report approval.Ability to conduct internal audits, root-cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions effectively.Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to identify inconsistencies or non-conformities in test results and documentation.Strong written and verbal communication skills to prepare clear reports and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.Proven experience in mentoring and training technical staff on quality procedures, safety practices, and compliance requirements.Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related discipline; an advanced degree or professional certifications in quality management (e.g., ISO-related, QA/QC) are an advantage.Demonstrated experience (typically 5+ years) in a senior or lead QAContact: 0567171721, 0565025313Email: gm@almawazeenlab.ae, labmanager@almawazeenlab.ae
