Apply & track with Apply EdgeSenior Quality Manager – Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing Starkville, MS | $140,000+ depending on experienceSchedule: Full-Time | 100% OnsiteAbout the OpportunityWe’re partnering with an established aerospace and defense manufacturing organization seeking an experienced Senior Quality Manager to lead quality operations, support the Quality Management System, maintain regulatory and customer compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the manufacturing organization.This is an excellent opportunity for a senior quality leader with experience in aerospace, defense, aviation, military manufacturing, precision manufacturing, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.What You’ll Be DoingLead day-to-day Quality Assurance, Quality Control, inspection, compliance, and quality documentation activities.Manage and support the organization's Quality Management System (QMS).Lead and support AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP, customer, supplier, and regulatory audits.Manage customer quality concerns, nonconformances, corrective actions, and quality escalations.Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) using structured problem-solving methods.Track and report quality KPIs, defect trends, audit findings, NCRs, corrective actions, and quality performance.Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, and leadership to improve product quality and manufacturing performance.Support and oversee supplier quality, supplier approvals, incoming quality, and external provider performance.Ensure products and manufacturing processes meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, procedures, and quality requirements.Lead, coach, train, and develop quality personnel while establishing accountability and performance expectations.Support production and engineering teams in resolving manufacturing quality issues.Identify opportunities to reduce defects, improve processes, strengthen compliance, and prevent recurring quality problems.Maintain audit readiness and ensure quality records, procedures, work instructions, and documentation remain accurate and compliant.What They’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred.Strong quality management experience within a manufacturing environment.Previous experience managing or supervising quality teams and quality operations.Experience within aerospace, defense, aviation, military, space, precision manufacturing, or another highly regulated industry strongly preferred.Experience working with AS9100 and/or NADCAP highly preferred.Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and Quality Management Systems.Experience supporting or leading internal, customer, supplier, and certification audits.Strong background in root cause analysis, CAPA, NCRs, continuous improvement, and structured problem solving.Experience handling customer quality requirements, complaints, corrective actions, and supplier quality issues.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, procedures, and customer requirements.Strong leadership, communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office.Why This Opportunity Stands OutSenior-level ownership of quality operations and the Quality Management System.Opportunity to work within the aerospace and defense manufacturing industry.Significant interaction with leadership, customers, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers.Ability to directly influence AS9100/NADCAP compliance, process improvement, supplier quality, and customer quality performance.Opportunity to lead and develop a quality team while improving systems and manufacturing processes.High-impact position with visibility across the organization.$140,000+ salary depending on experience.
