Apply & track with Apply EdgeThe Treasury Department is seeking a Senior Quantitative Analyst to support the treasury and investment activities through proprietary trading, quantitative research, financial modelling and risk analysis.The successful candidate will develop advanced mathematical and statistical models, analyze financial markets, design algorithmic trading tools and contribute to investment and hedging strategies. This highly analytical role requires strong expertise in quantitative finance, econometrics, financial markets, programming and data analysis.Based preferably at the Head Office in Athens, the Senior Quantitative Analyst will play a key role in developing quantitative models and advanced analytical solutions to support treasury, investment and trading activities. The position combines financial modelling, quantitative research, econometric analysis and programming to enhance investment decision-making, strengthen risk management and support the development and implementation of quantitative trading strategies.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Quantitative Analyst's role and responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:Develop and enhance quantitative models for financial market analysis, asset pricing, valuation, forecasting and risk management to support proprietary trading strategies, portfolio optimization and investment decision-making.Conduct quantitative research, analyze global financial markets, macroeconomic developments and investment opportunities to identify market trends and investment opportunities.Develop, validate and optimize econometric, statistical and predictive simulation models to support treasury operations, investment decision-making and financial analysis.Develop quantitative tools and analytics to support trading strategies, portfolio optimization and performance analysis.Measure and monitor market, liquidity and portfolio risks using advanced risk models and stress-testing techniques.Design, implement and maintain quantitative analytics platforms, automate data processing and reporting and manage large financial datasets.Produce market research and analytical reports to support treasury and investment activities, including liquidity management, funding, foreign exchange, fixed income, derivatives and other capital market analyses.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or a related discipline.A PhD in Mathematics, Econometrics, Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science or a closely related field is strongly preferred.Proven experience in developing quantitative financial models.At least five (5) years of experience in commodity trading and data extraction with a strong understanding of financial and/or shipping markets.Skills & CompetenciesTechnical CompetenciesStrong knowledge of:Strong knowledge of quantitative modelling, econometrics and statistical analysis.Proficiency in applying quantitative techniques to financial and commodity market analysisCore CompetenciesAbility to communicate complex quantitative concepts clearlyResults-oriented with sound commercial judgement
