Senior R&D Associate, Microbiology

You will work with formulation scientists to develop technical strategies to support short-term and long-term microbiological claims for Germ Protection R&D global projects. You will liaise with external laboratories and key opinion leaders in a professional and productive manner to ensure relationship and high quality of work/expertise. You will lead, inspire and develop junior team members to deliver their projects. Your responsibilitiesExplore new and creative ways to support new claims, demonstrations, new methods development and feasibility scouting.Liaise with legal and regulatory teams on claim substantiation.Liaise with global microbiology colleagues to ensure all internal methods are kept up to date ensuring harmonization.Interact with formulation scientists to provide advice for the development of effective product formulations with respect to active ingredient choices and antibacterial efficacy.Lead, inspire and develop junior team members. Prioritize resources to effectively advance assigned activities and projects. Set objectives, conduct performance reviews and advise on the development of the team members to enable them to achieve their full potential.Technical problem solving and troubleshooting when required, ensuring issues are addressed without delay to projects. Conduct testing to evaluate the antimicrobial efficacy of prototype formulations, finished products and ingredients as well as competitor products. Analyze, review results and prepare technical reports on progress/ completion of testing for the category.Contribute towards continuous improvement of R&D laboratory procedures and best practicesRecommend improvements to existing techniques, processes, systems or programsEnsure compliance to quality standards by following documented procedures & good documentation practices.Be aware, accountable for safety, health & environment in workplace all time to ensure safe work environment for self and colleagues. The experience we're looking forExperience of Micro efficacy methodologies like EN, ASTM, ISO, etc. used to support claims on antimicrobial personal care and surface care products.
