The person in this role will lead the development of new cosmetic formulations and the improvement of existing products, from concept through scale-up and commercialization. Daily responsibilities include designing and conducting laboratory experiments, analyzing test data, documenting findings, and ensuring formulations meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The Senior R & D professional will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing to align product performance with brand objectives and production capabilities. The role also involves mentoring junior team members, identifying emerging technologies and ingredients, and contributing to long-term R & D strategy and innovation pipelines.Qualifications Strong Research and Development (R&D) and Research skills to design experiments, develop formulations, and solve complex technical challenges.Solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, troubleshoot formulation issues, and optimize product performance.Proficient Laboratory Skills to safely perform experiments, handle raw materials and instruments, and maintain accurate records.Effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, prepare technical reports, and present findings clearly.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, Pharmacy, or a related scientific field.Several years of experience in cosmetic or personal care product development, ideally in a senior or lead capacity.Knowledge of cosmetic regulations, safety assessment principles, and good laboratory practices (GLP).Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Comfort working on-site in a laboratory and production-adjacent setting in Qesm Badr.
