This role sits at the intersection of independent research, market analysis, and client advisory — covering China's data management, analytics, AI, and open-source technology landscape. You'll produce market-leading research content and directly support consulting engagements for enterprise and technology clients.What You'll Do Day-to-DayResearch & Writing (core of the role): Spend the majority of your time researching and writing — conducting independent, first-hand research on data analytics, data agent, and open-source model vendors, and turning findings into rigorous market research reports, competitive analyses, and product evaluations.Business & Market Analysis: Track and interpret trends across data management and analytics tools and open-source models; build in-depth analysis covering market trends, competitive landscape, product positioning, and forecasts.Client Engagement: Engage directly with clients — presenting research findings and providing technical, product, and market consulting advice on data management and analytics topics. Strong communication skills and comfort speaking with clients are essential.Consulting Delivery: Contribute to and help deliver consulting projects, translating research insight into actionable client recommendations.What You BringEducation: Master's degree or above, preferably in software engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.Experience: 3+ years in the IT field, with a strong, hands-on understanding of the IT domain — ideally in data analytics, software development, cloud, or AI. This is not a generalist research role; deep technical fluency in IT/tech is a must.Technical Background: Solid grounding in software/cloud development, with a deep understanding of cloud architecture. Familiarity with open-source ecosystems is a strong plus.Analytical Skills: Demonstrated independent research ability, sharp analytical thinking, rigorous logic, and the ability to write reports and deliver consulting output independently.Language & Communication: Strong English proficiency for independent research on cutting-edge technology and global market developments; business-level fluency in Mandarin and English required for client-facing conversations.
