This is a full-time, on-site position based at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA.The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative biotech environment and bring a strong scientific mindset, a proactive approach, and a willingness to take on new challenges. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary, cross-functional project team and play an important role in advancing early-stage drug discovery and development programs.This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative immunotherapy programs while collaborating with scientists across multiple disciplines to advance novel therapeutic approaches from discovery toward the clinic.ResponsibilitiesExecute a range of immunological assays, including cell proliferation, cytokine analysis, and immune cell phenotyping, using diverse methodologies such as plate-based assays, ELISA, flow cytometry, and cell-based reporter assays.Adapt and optimize established assays and develop novel experimental approaches to investigate and characterize the unique biology of our therapeutic platform.Isolate, characterize, and analyze cell subsets of interest from diverse tissues and heterogeneous cell populations of human and non-human origin.Present experimental results and scientific insights at regular team meetings and contribute to the development of data-driven recommendations and next steps to help drive project advancement.Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, communication, and time-management skills while effectively managing multiple projects and priorities.Accurately document experimental procedures, research activities, and findings in electronic laboratory notebooks and maintain comprehensive reagent records in accordance with strict company standards.Lab activities will be ~75% time.Required Experience/QualificationsBA/BS or equivalent in biology, immunology, or a related discipline with 4+ years of relevant industry or academic research experience; MS degree or equivalent in biology, immunology, or a related discipline and 2+ years of experience conducting original research.Deep understanding of immunology; background in myeloid cell biology is a plus.Experience isolating and working with primary immune cells (B, T, myeloid, and NK) to develop in vitro immunoassays is required.Proficiency in running multi-parameter flow cytometry panels, analyzing immune cell function, and phenotyping cell surface/intracellular target expression is of particular value.Skilled in executing in vitro cell-based assays including antibody binding, ADCC/ADCP-based target cell killing, receptor internalization, and other immunoassays to assess complex biology.Detail-oriented and possessing strong organizational skills for reliable adherence to company record-keeping standards.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and curiosity in science, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic cross-functional environment.Experience with drug discovery and/or early development is a plus.Experience with bioinformatics/computational biology tools would be a plus.Skills· Excellent laboratory skills.· Excellent data analysis and organizational skills.· Excellent communication skills.Multi-parameter flow cytometry proficiencyFlexibility to learn and adopt new analytical platforms.· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
