Role overviewWe are seeking a Senior Upstream Petroleum / Reservoir Engineer to support the technical due diligence of upstream oil and gas projects for lenders. The role will assess project development plans, reserves, production forecasts and related technical risks.Key responsibilitiesReview petroleum engineering and reservoir studies, development plans and production forecasts.Assess drilling and completion programmes, production facilities, pipelines and export systems.Identify and evaluate technical, operational, HSE and ESG risks.Contribute to lender technical reviews, interim findings and the Final Technical Due Diligence Report.Provide input to project cost, schedule and development assessments.Support lender meetings and progress calls, and respond to technical information requests through the appointed Transaction Coordinator.Work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver reviews in line with agreed milestones.RequirementsMinimum 10 years’ experience in upstream oil and gas projects, as a Lenders’ Technical Advisor, Independent Engineer, Competent Person or Owner’s Engineer.Strong experience in petroleum engineering, reservoir engineering, drilling and completions, production facilities, or pipelines and export systems.Experience advising lenders on upstream developments, reserve-based financings or field redevelopment projects.Experience in North Africa, the MENA region is an advantage.Knowledge of HSE and ESG requirements in the oil and gas sector.Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team and communicate technical findings clearly.Arabic language is a must
