The position involves providing direct patient care under the supervision of consultants, including clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting ward rounds, managing inpatients and outpatients, documenting clinical findings, ordering and interpreting investigations, and participating in procedures relevant to the assigned department. The Senior Resident collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, supports junior medical staff, contributes to clinical audits and quality improvement activities, and ensures adherence to hospital protocols and ethical standards. Participation in academic teaching sessions, case discussions, and continuous professional development is expected.Qualifications Recognized MBBS degree with completed internship, and relevant postgraduate qualification (MD/MS/DNB or equivalent) in the specialty; valid medical registration with the appropriate medical council.Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, differential diagnosis, and acute and chronic case management, with the ability to work safely in a high-volume tertiary care setting.Proficiency in maintaining accurate medical records, using hospital information systems, and following evidence-based clinical protocols and infection-control practices.Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams, with a commitment to compassionate and respectful care.Ability to work in shifts, handle emergencies, and manage time and workload efficiently while maintaining professional integrity and confidentiality.Experience in a large multispeciality or teaching hospital, involvement in research, audits, or publications, and participation in academic activities are advantageous.
