Join us as we push the boundaries of AI and robotics to transform the hundred-billion-dollar eldercare industry.Role OverviewWe’re seeking a senior perception engineer to develop models and algorithms that help autonomous robots understand their surroundings. You’ll build multimodal perception pipelines and work with planning, control, localization, and systems teams to bring reliable perception to real-world robotic platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop models and algorithms to detect, classify, and track objects using camera, LiDAR, and sonar data, and build environment models of static scenesFuse camera and LiDAR data into robust, real-time perception pipelinesDevelop and integrate pose estimation models for people, wheelchairs, and other relevant objectsImplement sensor calibration, time synchronization, and coordinate frame transformationsEvaluate perception performance using real-world data, simulation, and offline benchmarksCollaborate with planning, control, localization, and systems teams to integrate perception outputsEvaluate advances in AI, sensor fusion, and robotics to improve perception capabilitiesQualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher in a related field and at least 3 years of industry experienceProficiency in C++ and Python, with experience using ROS 2Solid understanding of deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow for object detection and segmentationHands-on model deployment experience with TensorRT, ONNX, or embedded inference enginesExperience with sensor fusion techniques and modelsFamiliarity with multi-object tracking, bird’s-eye-view (BEV) perception, occupancy networks, or semantic segmentationKnowledge of camera, LiDAR, and IMU calibration, time synchronization, and rigid-body dynamicsBonus PointsScaled production experience with robotics, autonomous driving, or ADAS perceptionPublications at CVPR, ICCV, ICRA, IROS, or related venuesWhat We OfferCompetitive salary + equityAccess to cutting-edge robotics & AI toolsMentorship from industry expertsCollaborative, mission-driven cultureTo Apply: Send your resume to hiring@intuitiveautonomy.com
