Senior Roku Engineer – BrightScript / SceneGraphWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Roku Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Roku, BrightScript, and SceneGraph to join an entertainment streaming team.Important: This is a true Roku development role. We are not looking for general CTV engineers. Candidates must have substantial production experience building and maintaining Roku applications.📍 Location: Los Angeles, CA or Stamford, CT🏢 Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 4 days onsite per week📅 Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day ShiftKey ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain Roku applications using BrightScript and SceneGraphBuild and enhance features across authentication, REST APIs, playback, multiple screens, and user flowsRefactor tightly coupled code and improve architecture, scalability, maintainability, and clean codeTroubleshoot and resolve production issues and provide long-term fixesCollaborate with engineering teams and clearly communicate technical decisionsRequired Qualifications3+ years of hands-on Roku development experienceStrong BrightScript and SceneGraph expertiseExperience developing production Roku applicationsStrong experience with REST APIs, authentication, playback integration, and user flowsStrong understanding of software architecture, clean code, separation of concerns, and refactoringStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work onsite 4 days per weekPreferred ExperienceHLS, DASH, DRM, and Adaptive Bitrate Streaming (ABR)Roku Pay, Deep Linking, Continue Watching, Search Feeds, and advertising frameworksRoku Developer Tools, profiling, debugging, and telemetryCI/CD and release automationJavaScript/TypeScriptExperience with other Connected TV platformsOnly candidates with genuine Roku + BrightScript + SceneGraph experience will be considered.👉 Follow our company page Hector Systems Inc for daily IT job requirements, vendor opportunities, hiring updates, and industry insights.
