Senior Ruby Developer

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Ruby Engineer to lead the development of Ruby-based applications and extensions. You will work as part of a global Agile team to design, build, and maintain high-quality features that deliver value to internal and external users.You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Domain Experts, DevOps, and other engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead the implementation of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes across Ruby services and supporting componentsParticipate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, refinements, and retrospectivesConduct and participate in thorough code reviews while maintaining team coding standardsMentor team members and contribute to knowledge sharingCollaborate with Product Owners and Domain Experts to clarify requirements, validate solutions, and refine acceptance criteriaPartner with DevOps/Platform teams on CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and operational runbooksDrive continuous improvement through refactoring, increasing test coverage, performance tuning, and technical debt reductionSupport production incident triage, contribute to postmortems, and implement preventative measuresDesign and develop reliable backend services and APIsContribute to the architecture and evolution of service-oriented and distributed systemsRequirements5+ years of professional software development experience with strong proficiency in RubyStrong experience building and operating backend services and APIs using REST and/or GraphQLSolid understanding of service-oriented architecture and distributed systems fundamentalsStrong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including schema design and SQL optimizationHands-on experience with automated testing frameworks such as RSpec or Minitest, including factory tools and test-first developmentFamiliarity with caching and real-time technologies such as Redis or equivalentExperience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOpsStrong knowledge of Git and modern code-review workflows, including branching and merge strategiesProficiency in object-oriented programmingStrong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with distributed teams across different time zonesBenefitsHybrid Working ModelSocial and Medical InsuranceFlexible working EnvironmentTransportation
