Apply & track with Apply EdgeAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Sales Manager to take commercial ownership of the Irish market for a leading international engineering and manufacturing group.Reporting directly to the UK Managing Director, you will have responsibility across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, combining sales leadership, business development, key account growth and commercial transformation.This is a high-profile role with considerable autonomy. Alongside delivering sustainable revenue and market growth, you will help develop the regional sales function, strengthen commercial processes and build an increasingly customer-focused, data-led approach to sales.The RoleDevelop and deliver the sales and business development strategy across IrelandIdentify opportunities to increase market share, develop strategic accounts and win new businessProvide leadership, coaching and commercial direction across the regional sales functionBuild senior relationships with customers, distributors and commercial partnersLead a consultative, value-led approach to selling complex technical solutionsManage sales pipelines, forecasts, KPIs and commercial performanceImprove CRM utilisation, account planning, tender management and forecastingPlay an active role in commercial transformation and sales excellence initiativesPartner with Marketing, Operations, Customer Service and Technical teams to improve commercial delivery and customer experienceManage regional sales budgets and commercial expenditureRepresent the organisation with key customers, partners and external stakeholdersAbout YouAn established B2B sales leader with a strong track record within an engineering, manufacturing or technically led environmentDemonstrable success delivering revenue growth, strategic account development and new businessExperience providing leadership, coaching and commercial direction within a sales environmentStrong understanding of forecasting, budgets, KPIs, pipeline management and CRMExperience of consultative, solution-based or value-led sellingStrong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skillsComfortable operating within a business undergoing change and commercial developmentExperience of commercial transformation, sales excellence or process improvement would be advantageousA relevant degree or equivalent industry experienceFull driving licence and willingness to travel regularly throughout the Republic of Ireland and Northern IrelandRelevant Industry ExperienceA background within a relatable engineering or industrial sector is important. This could include experience within areas such as machining, tooling, machine tools, metal cutting, manufacturing technology, industrial equipment or other technical engineering solutions.Direct experience in any one of these areas is not essential, but you will need to demonstrate an understanding of technical manufacturing environments, complex customer requirements and the ability to develop value-led commercial solutions.Experience selling into sectors such as aerospace, automotive, medical, precision engineering and general manufacturing would also be highly relevant.The PackageSalary up to €100,000Car allowanceAnnual bonus of 15–20%Comprehensive benefits packageHybrid workingLong-term career opportunities within an international engineering and manufacturing groupThis is an opportunity to take ownership of a strategically important market, combining hands-on commercial leadership with the opportunity to influence the future approach to sales, business development and commercial effectiveness.Applicants must have unrestricted permission to live and work in Ireland.
