With subsidiaries and partner offices in about 15 countries, HBT offers a global work environment and opportunities to collaborate across regions and disciplines.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai for a Senior SAP ABAP and SD Consultant. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining SAP ABAP customizations, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms to support business processes across manufacturing, supply chain, and service operations. Day-to-day tasks include configuring and optimizing SAP SD modules (such as order-to-cash, pricing, delivery, and billing), analyzing business requirements, and translating them into effective technical and functional solutions. The consultant will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, key users, and cross-functional IT teams to perform system testing, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and incident resolution. The role also includes preparing technical documentation, providing end-user support and training, and contributing to SAP upgrade and migration projects to ensure system stability and continuous improvement.Qualifications Strong SAP ABAP skills, including development of reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and performance optimization.Expertise in SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) processes such as order management, pricing, delivery, billing, and integration with related modules (e.g., MM, FI).Experience in requirements gathering, solution design, technical specifications, unit testing, integration testing, and production support.Proficiency in debugging, issue analysis, and problem-solving within complex SAP landscapes.Familiarity with SAP best practices, transport management, change management, and basic knowledge of SAP Basis concepts.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with business and technical stakeholders.Proven experience as a Senior SAP Consultant or equivalent role, preferably in manufacturing, industrial equipment, or related sectors.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline; relevant SAP certifications are an advantage.Ability to work on-site in Chennai, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality solutions within agreed timelines.
