The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ABAP development, SAP technical architecture, performance optimization, and integration with SAP and non-SAP systems.The candidate will work closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-quality SAP solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and implement SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.Develop and maintain RICEFW objects including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows.Develop custom ABAP solutions using ABAP Objects, OO ABAP, ALV, BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, and Function Modules.Work with SAP standard functionality and extend applications using User Exits, Customer Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Framework, and implicit/explicit enhancements.Develop and maintain integrations between SAP and external systems using IDocs, RFC, APIs, web services, OData, and other integration technologies.Work with SAP data models, database tables, views, data elements, domains, structures, and search helps.Develop and optimize Open SQL queries and database-intensive programs.Support SAP S/4HANA environments and leverage modern ABAP development practices.Develop applications using CDS Views, AMDP, OData, and SAP Gateway where applicable.Analyze and resolve production issues, defects, and performance problems.Perform code reviews, debugging, root-cause analysis, and performance tuning.Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Prepare technical design documents, development specifications, test cases, and implementation documentation.Participate in unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and production deployments.Follow SAP development standards, naming conventions, security guidelines, and change-management processes.Mentor junior ABAP developers and provide technical guidance to development teams.Required Skills and Experience :Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.12+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.Strong knowledge of ABAP and ABAP Objects.Experience with RICEFW development.Strong experience with:Reports and ALVBAPIs and RFCsIDocsUser Exits and Customer ExitsBAdIsEnhancement FrameworkFunction ModulesSmart Forms / SAPscript / Adobe FormsBackground JobsDebugging and performance tuningStrong knowledge of Open SQL and SAP database concepts.Experience working with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.Experience with integration technologies such as OData, REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and SAP Gateway.Good understanding of SAP functional modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, or HR/HCM.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with S/4HANA ABAP development.Knowledge of CDS Views, AMDP, and HANA optimization.Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 and OData services.Knowledge of SAP Workflow.Experience with SAP integration platforms such as SAP CPI/Integration Suite.Familiarity with ABAP Development Tools (ADT) in Eclipse.Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.SAP ABAP certification is a plus.Key Competencies :SAP ABAP / ABAP ObjectsSAP S/4HANARICEFWCDS ViewsAMDPOData / SAP GatewayBAPI / RFC / IDocEnhancements / BAdIs / User ExitsAdobe Forms / Smart FormsPerformance OptimizationProduction SupportTechnical DesignDebugging & Root-Cause AnalysisSAP IntegrationEducation:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.Experience Level :Senior Level – 12+ years of SAP ABAP development experience
