Senior SAP ABAP Developer-Romania

We are looking for a Senior SAP ABAP Developer to join our SAP development team and contribute to the design, development, enhancement, and support of SAP solutions.The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with ABAP development, excellent knowledge of SAP development standards, and experience working with modern SAP technologies such as S/4HANA, CDS Views, OData, and SAP Fiori.You will work closely with SAP Functional Consultants, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain SAP applications and custom developments using ABAP.Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into efficient technical solutions.Develop and enhance SAP programs, reports, interfaces, forms, enhancements, and workflows.Work closely with SAP Functional Consultants to understand requirements and deliver appropriate technical solutions.Develop and maintain custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF).Develop efficient and optimized ABAP code following SAP development standards and best practices.Design and develop solutions for SAP S/4HANA environments.Develop and maintain CDS Views, AMDPs, and database procedures where required.Develop and consume OData services to support SAP Fiori and other applications.Support SAP Fiori and UI5 development from a backend perspective.Develop and maintain integrations between SAP and external systems using APIs, IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, web services, and other integration technologies.Perform code reviews, debugging, performance analysis, and technical troubleshooting.Optimize existing ABAP programs and database access for improved performance.Participate in technical design, architecture discussions, and solution reviews.Prepare technical specifications and development documentation.Support unit testing, integration testing, defect resolution, and production deployments.Investigate and resolve complex technical issues in SAP environments.Ensure all developments comply with security, quality, performance, and coding standards.Support SAP upgrades, migrations, system transformations, and S/4HANA conversion projects.Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior ABAP developers when required.Must-Have Skills & Experience5+ years of professional experience in SAP ABAP development.Strong hands-on experience with ABAP and ABAP Objects (OO ABAP).Proven experience working with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.Strong knowledge of:Reports and ALVEnhancements and BAdIsUser Exits / Customer ExitsBAPIs and RFCsIDocsSmart Forms / Adobe FormsInterfaces and integrationsBackground jobsExperience developing and consuming APIs and web services.Good knowledge of CDS Views and modern S/4HANA development approaches.Experience with OData services.Strong understanding of SAP data structures, tables, data dictionary, and debugging.Experience with performance optimization, including efficient database access and SQL optimization.Experience working with SAP development and transport processes.Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and testing practices.Ability to analyze complex requirements and develop robust technical solutions.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with functional and technical teams.Good level of English.Nice-to-Have / AdvantagesExperience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud or SAP BTP.Knowledge of SAP Fiori / SAPUI5.Experience with RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model).Knowledge of ABAP Cloud and the clean core approach.Experience with AMDP and advanced HANA development.Knowledge of SAP HANA database architecture and SQLScript.Experience with SAP Integration Suite / CPI.Experience with SAP Gateway.Knowledge of SAP Workflow.Experience with Eclipse / ABAP Development Tools (ADT).Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration or transformation projects.Knowledge of SAP modules such as SD, MM, FI/CO, PP, WM/EWM, PM, or HCM.Experience with SAP BTP Extension Suite.SAP ABAP or S/4HANA certification.German language skills are considered an advantage.Technical SkillsABAP / OO ABAPSAP S/4HANASAP ECCCDS ViewsODataAMDPRAPSAP HANASQL / SQLScriptBAPIs / RFCsIDocsAPIs / Web ServicesSAP GatewaySAP Fiori / UI5RICEFAdobe Forms / Smart FormsBAdIs / EnhancementsEclipse / ADTSAP BTPSoft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Structured and quality-oriented approach.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical solutions.Strong attention to detail.Ability to work effectively with international and multicultural teams.Proactive approach to identifying technical improvements and optimisation opportunities.Willingness to mentor and support less experienced developers.
