Apply & track with Apply EdgeThe role will be responsible for engineering design, system configuration, testing & commissioning, technical coordination, and site execution.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and submit SAS engineering designs for substation and power grid projects.Design, configure, test, and commission complete SAS architecture from field level to station and control-center level.Configure and test Protection & Control IEDs, including relays, RTUs, and bay controllers.Implement and troubleshoot IEC 61850 (GOOSE, MMS, SV) and other protocols such as Modbus and DNP3.Integrate SAS with SCADA, DCS, EMS/Grid Management Systems.Conduct site surveys, technical assessments, and engineering data collection.Lead/support FAT, SAT, UAT, commissioning, troubleshooting, and handover activities.Coordinate with clients, consultants, engineering vendors, and technology partners for technical execution.Ensure appropriate cybersecurity practices across SAS, SCADA, and DCS networks.Prepare and maintain engineering documentation and technical reports.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Control, or related Engineering discipline.6–10 years of relevant experience in SAS Automation, substation, power transmission, or grid projects.Strong expertise in Substation Automation, Protection & Control, SCADA, IEDs, and IEC 61850.Hands-on experience with SAS design, configuration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.Strong understanding of power substations, transmission systems, and grid operations.Experience working with engineering consultants, customers, vendors, and project stakeholders.Strong technical documentation and communication skills.Preferred Technical Expertise: SAS | IEC 61850 | Protection & Control | IEDs | SCADA | DCS | RTU | GOOSE | MMS | SV | Modbus | DNP3 | FAT | SAT | UAT | Testing & Commissioning
