Apply & track with Apply EdgeKerner Norland is seeking an experienced Senior Security Architect to join our growing Managed Services team.This is a senior, client-facing and hands-on cybersecurity role spanning customer security solutions, Managed Security capability development, and the ongoing maturity of Kerner Norland's own cybersecurity environment.You will work directly with customers to understand their environments, security risks and business requirements and translate these into practical, commercially appropriate security solutions. Internally, you will provide senior security architecture and technical leadership, help evolve our Managed Security services, and drive continuous improvement of our own security posture.As part of a growing security function, this role requires someone who can operate strategically while remaining technically capable and willing to contribute directly where required.Key ResponsibilitiesLead customer security discovery sessions, security assessments, architecture reviews and technical workshops.Assess customer environments, identify security risks and control gaps, and develop practical recommendations and security roadmaps.Design cybersecurity solutions across cloud, Microsoft 365, identity, endpoint, email, network, infrastructure, applications and security operations.Translate customer business and technical requirements into appropriate security solutions, architectures, scopes and implementation approaches.Support cybersecurity pre-sales activities, including solution design, technical scoping, proposals, presentations and customer discussions.Act as a trusted senior cybersecurity advisor to customers and internal stakeholders.Lead or contribute directly to security assessments, risk assessments, technical reviews, complex investigations and security implementations.Provide senior technical leadership and mentoring to security and wider technical teams.Provide architecture and technical direction across security monitoring, SIEM, threat detection, vulnerability management and incident response.Help mature Kerner Norland's Managed Security services, technical standards, security tooling, automation and repeatable customer solutions.Drive continuous improvement of Kerner Norland's internal security architecture, controls and overall cybersecurity maturity.Support ISO 27001 and security governance activities, including risk assessments, control reviews, security documentation, audit readiness and remediation.Evaluate existing and emerging security technologies and recommend solutions that are secure, scalable, supportable and commercially appropriate.Work closely with our internal delivery teams to implement and improve security controls.Provide security guidance for AI and emerging technologies, including generative AI and enterprise AI platforms, and identify opportunities to use AI and automation within cybersecurity.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.Minimum 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security architecture, security engineering, security consulting, or related roles.Strong knowledge of security architecture, IAM, PAM, Zero Trust, SIEM and security monitoring technologies.Strong experience designing secure cloud and enterprise security solutions, including Microsoft 365, Azure and Entra ID environments.Experience with ISO 27001, cybersecurity risk management, compliance frameworks and security governance.Hands-on experience with security assessments, SOC operations, incident response, vulnerability management and security monitoring.Strong understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD security integration and security automation.Demonstrated client-facing and solution design experience, with the ability to translate business and technical requirements into practical cybersecurity solutions.Practical understanding of AI and generative AI security risks, governance and secure enterprise adoption.Excellent stakeholder management, communication, documentation and technical leadership skills.Ability to balance security, operational, commercial and business requirements effectively.Highly RegardedExperience working within an MSP, MSSP, cybersecurity consultancy.Experience supporting cybersecurity pre-sales, solution scoping and Managed Security service development.Experience with Microsoft Defender, Purview, Copilot security and governance, security automation or related Microsoft security technologies.Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, Microsoft Security/Azure, GIAC or ISO 27001.
