Senior Security Researcher | £90–100k | Primarily Remote - 1 day a month in London (expensed)We’re working with a high-growth cybersecurity product business looking to hire a Senior Security Researcher to join a specialist research team focused on cutting-edge threats and defensive capabilities.This is a deeply technical role, ideal for someone who enjoys getting into the detail across malware, exploitation, and security research, while helping shape how products defend against real-world attacks.It's not a typical blue team or red team role, it's a research-heavy position where you'll investigate real-world threats, build PoCs, and publish findings. They want someone who can operate independently, think like an attacker, but ultimately strengthen defensive capabilityThe role:Conduct deep-dive security research across threats, malware and attack techniquesPerform static and dynamic analysis, reverse engineering, and PoC developmentExplore vulnerabilities, test exploitability, and design defensive solutionsWork across research, engineering and product teams as a technical SMEProduce high-quality technical write-ups, reports and whitepapersPresent findings internally and externally (incl. conferences where relevant)Contribute to AI/agentic approaches to security research and analysisWhat they’re looking for:Strong background in security research, malware analysis, or offensive securityHands-on experience with static and dynamic analysis toolingSolid coding ability (Python, C# or C++)Ability to take a problem from research → PoC → solutionComfortable working independently and owning research projectsStrong communication skills — able to explain complex findings clearlyNice to have:Reverse engineering experienceRed team / pen testing backgroundExposure to threat intelligence or threat huntingExperience with AI tooling in security researchIndustry certifications (CREST, OSCP, GIAC etc.)Why join?Highly technical, research-led environmentReal-world impact on product security and threat defenceBacked for growth and scaling£90–100k + packageHybrid working with flexibilityIf you’re interested, drop me a message or apply directly — happy to share more detail.
