Apply & track with Apply EdgePosition OverviewWe are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Web Developer who can own the development, publishing, andoptimization of client websites, primarily on WordPress and Shopify, with exposure to other CMS platforms.This is a hands-on role that blends front-end development, CMS page building, SEO troubleshooting, andanalytics/tracking setup.You'll collaborate closely with content strategists and project managers to turn briefs and Google Docs intohigh-performing pages that are technically sound, visually polished, and conversion-focused.Key Responsibilities WordPress Site Management Update and maintain WordPress sites and pages (ACF, custom templates, theme modifications,Elementor Pro, WPBakery, Divi, etc.). Implement new sections, templates, and layout variations based on briefs, wireframes, or existingdesign systems. Shopify Development Build and maintain Shopify collections, custom pages, and theme changes using JSON and Liquid Support custom logic for templates, product/collection layouts, and landing pages Content Formatting & Page Building Transform Google Docs and content outlines into clean, conversion-optimized web pages Structure content for readability and engagement using headings, spacing, CTAs, visual hierarchy, andmedia (images, tables, etc.). SEO & Technical Quality Apply on-page SEO best practices (meta tags, headings, internal links, schema, Yoast/Rank Mathconfiguration). Use tools such as Google Lighthouse, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs to identify and help resolve technicalSEO issues. Analytics & Tracking Assist in configuring tracking setups in Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager Help implement and validate event tracking (form submissions, key button clicks, conversions) asneeded. Quality Assurance Review published pages for formatting accuracy, responsiveness, and technical performance Test across devices and browsers to ensure a consistent user experience CMS Adaptability Work in different CMS environments (e.g., Headless WordPress, Webflow, Framer) when required Follow established workflows, naming conventions, and client-specific publishing processesRequirementsQualifications 4+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience (including ACF, theme edits, customtemplates, and page builders such as Elementor Pro, WPBakery, and Divi). 1+ years of Shopify development experience working with JSON and Liquid Strong HTML and CSS skills, plus basic JavaScript for front-end interactions and enhancements Demonstrated portfolio of live sites, with the ability to walk through your contributions (from codeand/or CMS dashboard). 3+ References that include at minimum: full name, company, role/title, phone, and/or email, anddates (from/to). Working knowledge of SEO best practices and Google Lighthouse fundamentals English level: C1 (comfortable communicating with an international, English-speaking team)Nice-to-Haves Familiarity with task management tools such as Asana, Jira, or Teamwork Basic proficiency in design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or Figma (resizing images, exportingassets, handling SVGs). Experience with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) to assist with coding, troubleshooting, anddocumentation.
