Job SummaryWe are looking for a Senior SharePoint Server Developer with 7–10 years of hands-on experience designing, developing, customizing, integrating, deploying, and supporting enterprise SharePoint on-premises solutions. The candidate should have strong practical experience with SharePoint Server 2016, SharePoint Server 2019, and SharePoint Server Subscription Edition, together with strong expertise in SharePoint server-side development, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Microsoft .NET technologies, enterprise integrations, reporting, troubleshooting, and related Microsoft technologies. The role covers the complete development lifecycle and requires sound software engineering practices, technical leadership, and mentoring capabilities.Key Responsibilities• Design, develop, customize, deploy, and maintain enterprise solutions based on SharePoint Server 2016, SharePoint Server 2019, and SharePoint Server Subscription Edition.• Participate in the full development lifecycle: requirements analysis, solution design, estimation, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, support, upgrades, and modernization.• Develop SharePoint server-side and client-side solutions using C#, .NET Framework, SharePoint Server Object Model, farm/WSP solutions, SPFx, TypeScript, React, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.• Design and implement solutions and integrations using CSOM, JSOM, REST APIs, SharePoint Web Services, Server Object Model, databases, APIs, and enterprise systems.• Develop and maintain Microsoft-based applications and integration components using ASP.NET Web Forms, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, WCF, WIF, and Windows Workflow Foundation (WF).• Develop SQL-based solutions and integrations using Microsoft SQL Server, including complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.• Develop and support reporting and BI solutions using SSRS, Power BI, Excel Services, and PerformancePoint Services.• Create and maintain PowerShell scripts for deployment, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and automation.• Package, deploy, upgrade, and maintain SharePoint custom solutions across development, test, UAT, and production environments.• Participate in SharePoint upgrade and migration initiatives, including assessment, remediation, and modernization of legacy customizations.• Troubleshoot SharePoint applications, integrations, deployments, workflows, performance, permissions, authentication, and environment-related issues.• Conduct code reviews, maintain development standards and technical documentation, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to other developers.Technical RequirmentsExperience and Education• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.• 7–10 years of professional software development experience, with substantial hands-on experience developing enterprise SharePoint Server solutions.• Strong practical experience with SharePoint Server 2016 and/or SharePoint Server 2019; experience with SharePoint Server Subscription Edition is highly desirable.• Proven experience working with enterprise or business-critical SharePoint solutions in on-premises environments.SharePoint Server DevelopmentStrong hands-on experience with SharePoint Server Object Model, farm solutions and WSP packages, Features and Feature Receivers, custom Web Parts, Application Pages, Event Receivers, Timer Jobs, custom workflows, Lists and Libraries, Content Types, Site Columns, custom forms, SharePoint Search customizations, CSOM, JSOM, REST APIs, SharePoint Web Services, and sound software architecture, design patterns, coding standards, security, scalability, maintainability, and performance best practices.SharePoint Framework and Client-Side DevelopmentStrong hands-on experience developing SPFx solutions using TypeScript, React, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS, including SPFx development for SharePoint Server environments and compatibility considerations across SharePoint Server 2016, 2019, Subscription Edition, and SharePoint Online. Experience with XML, XSLT, Angular, Vue.js, or related technologies is an advantage.Microsoft .Net DevelopmentStrong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Framework, ASP.NET Web Forms, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), Windows Identity Foundation (WIF), and Windows Workflow Foundation (WF), with the ability to develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and modernize Microsoft-based enterprise applications integrated with SharePoint.SharePoint Architecture and AdministrationStrong understanding of SharePoint farms, Web Applications, Site Collections, Service Applications, Application Pools, IIS, Search, Managed Metadata, User Profile Services, SharePoint security and permissions, farm topology, Central Administration, Windows and Claims-Based Authentication, NTLM, Kerberos, and Active Directory integration, with sufficient administration knowledge to deploy, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot SharePoint custom solutions. Experience with ADFS or federated authentication is an advantage.Troubleshooting, PowerShell and ALM• Strong troubleshooting experience using SharePoint ULS Logs, Windows Event Viewer, IIS Logs, SharePoint Health Analyzer, Developer Dashboard, and related diagnostic tools.• Strong experience with PowerShell for SharePoint administration, deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and automation.• Experience packaging, deploying, upgrading, and maintaining SharePoint solutions across multiple environments; proficiency with Git, TFS, SVN, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools; CI/CD experience is desirable.SQL Server and reportingStrong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including complex queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, custom database integration, and an understanding of SharePoint database architecture and Microsoft-supported practices. Experience developing reporting and BI solutions using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, Excel Services, and PerformancePoint Services, including integration of SharePoint solutions with reporting and analytics platforms.Migration and Modernization• Experience upgrading or migrating SharePoint applications and custom solutions between SharePoint Server versions, including assessment of legacy customizations for compatibility, remediation, modernization, and migration.• Experience with SharePoint Server 2016 to 2019 and/or SharePoint Server 2019 to Subscription Edition upgrades is highly desirable, including the ability to identify obsolete, unsupported, or high-risk customizations and recommend appropriate remediation.Certifications• Microsoft SharePoint certifications are highly desirable.• Relevant Microsoft certifications in SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Azure, Power Platform, development, architecture, or related Microsoft technologies are considered an advantage; historical SharePoint Server development or administration certifications remain relevant.• Demonstrated continuous technical learning and completion of relevant Microsoft training and certifications will be considered positively.Professional Skills• Strong software engineering, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills; ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into practical, maintainable solutions.• Ability to work independently, take ownership of technical deliverables, manage multiple priorities, and provide technical leadership, code review, and mentoring.• Strong collaboration and communication skills; experience working in Agile environments using Scrum or Kanban; excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Fluent in Arabic and English.
