We don't just build abstract concepts— we put real, practical solutions to work in the field.About the Team The Shop team keeps Xpanner's fleet of retrofitted, GPS-equipped construction equipment safe, reliable, and field-ready. Based out of our Aledo, TX shop, they inspect, repair, and maintain heavy machinery, install and calibrate GPS and special-attachment systems, and jump in to support field teams when urgent issues come up on-site. As Xpanner scales its U.S. rental and sales operations, this team is the backbone that keeps machines running.What You’ll Do How you’ll make impact: As our Senior Shop Technician, you'll keep Xpanner's construction equipment safe, reliable, and field-ready — inspecting, repairing, and maintaining heavy machinery and GPS/attachment systems out of our Aledo, TX shop so crews can stay productive on-site with minimal downtime.Core Responsibilities:Equipment Inspection & Diagnostics: Perform routine visual and operational inspections of construction equipment, using diagnostic tools to identify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, and record and report abnormalities or safety concerns.Repair & Preventive Maintenance: Repair or replace worn, damaged, or malfunctioning parts and service engines, hydraulic, and electrical systems, while conducting scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication to keep equipment operating safely and reliably.GPS & Special Attachment Installation: Mount, wire, and set up GPS systems and special attachments, performing calibration, software updates, and performance checks to ensure every installation meets safety and operational standards.Testing & Performance Verification: Conduct post-maintenance and post-installation operational tests — monitoring engine, hydraulic, electrical, structural, and GPS/attachment performance — and troubleshoot any issues before equipment returns to the field.Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed service records, submit reports to supervisors, and track spare parts inventory to keep the shop audit-ready and well-stocked.Workshop & Safety Management: Keep the shop clean, organized, and stocked with well-maintained tools and equipment, while adhering to company safety policies, PPE requirements, and safety audits.Team Collaboration: Partner with field teams to troubleshoot complex site issues and provide fast, hands-on support for urgent on-site equipment needs.What You’ll Bring Minimum Qualifications:5-7 years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy construction equipment (excavators, dozers, pile drivers).Strong working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and engine systems for diagnosis and repair.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with comfort using digital diagnostic tools and technical programs.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and site collaboration.Must live within commuting distance of Aledo, TX (western Fort Worth area).Founder’s mentality: Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable building processes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Preferred Qualifications
