You will drive our migration from a legacy monolith to a modern cloud-based ecosystem using Java, Kafka, and PostgreSQL.ResponsibilitiesWork on the migration from PHP monoliths to the new microservice architectureDesign and implementation of microservices - Java, Kafka, PostgreSQLTest-driven development and Test AutomationService monitoring, alerting, and incident mitigation - Grafana and Open TelemetryAlign technical decisions with other Senior Engineers from other teamsQualifications7 years+ of work experience as a Java/KotlinExperience with Postgres, MongoDB, and working with large data volumesExperience in software development, supporting the design and development of large-scale, distributed software applications - Kafka is a plusExperience with microservices and cloud architectures - Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, DockerKnowledge of architecture/design methods and patterns, data and API specifications, quality assurance, and testing methods - SOLID, OOPStrong problem-solving skills and ability to apply logical and analytical thinking to complex problemsExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work autonomously in a team environmentEnglish upper-intermediate (B2)Additional InformationWhat do we offer?Stable employment in the fast-growing international companyInternational career in a multicultural environment with lots of opportunities to growAnnual vacation of 28 calendar days and 1 additional day off on your birthdayMental Wellbeing Program – providing you and your immediate family members with free and confidential mental and physical health support services for a wide range of personal and work-related issues.
