In this role, you will collaborate closely with customer stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional engineering teams to clarify business requirements, define technical solutions, and deliver scalable, high-quality enterprise applications that improve operational efficiency and user experience.The ideal candidate is a hands-on software engineer with strong systems thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to own features end-to-end—from concept through production—while working effectively across both business and engineering teams.CIeNET Canada welcomes skilled, dedicated, innovative, and motivated professionals to join our team and build a promising career with us.Role SummaryThe Full Stack Web Application Developer will be a key addition to our North America team and an integral part of CIeNET's larger engineering organization, supporting a high-profile, industry-leading client. In this role, the individual will collaborate closely with the client in the US and our engineering team in Taipei to develop, integrate, and deploy the AI-powered Pops Applications.Excellent English communication skills are essential, as the role involves direct interaction with the customer. Proficiency in Mandarin is a strong asset and will help facilitate effective collaboration with the Taipei team.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable full stack web applications, including frontend, backend services, APIs, databases, and system integrationsPartner with customer stakeholders and product owners to clarify business requirements and translate them into technical solutionsDrive technical discussions and collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to resolve implementation, testing, environment, and data-related issuesModernize and enhance existing applications while maintaining legacy systems where appropriateTroubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and improve system reliability and performanceParticipate in system design, architecture reviews, and code reviews to ensure scalable and maintainable solutionsContinuously improve engineering practices, software quality, and development efficiencyTake ownership of features throughout the software development lifecycle, from design to production supportPreferred QualificationsExperience with Spring Boot or similar Java frameworksExperience with asynchronous processing, job scheduling, or workflow orchestrationExperience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-native application developmentExperience working with HR, ERP, CRM, or other enterprise business applicationsExperience working in Agile and globally distributed engineering teamsRequirementsRequired Skills and Experiences:3 - 7 years of professional software development experience building enterprise web applicationsStrong proficiency in Java; experience with Kotlin is preferredExperience with at least one modern frontend framework (React, Typescript, Angular, Vue.js, or similar)Experience developing RESTful APIs and database-driven applicationsStrong understanding of software architecture, system integration, and the software development lifecycleAbility to understand business workflows, communicate with customer stakeholders, and translate requirements into technical solutionsStrong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills across application, database, and integration layersSelf-motivated, a quick-learner and reliably deliver on time in a fast-paced work environment Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, and ownership with the ability to work independentlyEducation and Training:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
