Are you ambitious and would relish the opportunity to grow your career in a dynamic and innovative Romanian software company, by taking on new challenges and expand your professional horizons in a top-notch industry?HR Design is recruiting for its client - the unique local provider of Command-and-Control systems for the Defense and Homeland Security Market and software solutions integrator, from Bucharest - a Senior Software Developer - GeoDefence!You will join a small, dedicated team building a GIS Framework for the BC2A Software suite, in a company with over 20 years of experience in C2 systems, delivering its own solutions to Defense (Land Forces) and Homeland Security entities in Romania.We encourage you to apply if you meet the following criteria:you demonstrate experience in understanding and having an overview of the projects you have worked on, not just specific tasksyou have worked with maps and geospatial data, with symbol rendering or with 3D graphics frameworks - and if you don't have all of them, an adjacent area is a very good starting point (vehicle tracking, fleet management, mapping or navigation applications, computer graphics)you are comfortable with the geometry and mathematics behind drawing complex symbols on a map - not advanced research-level math, but a solid, practical command of ityou have the capability to analyze technical standards in order to be able to design and implement solutions which are compliant with these standardsyou are willing to go one step further than the code and understand the operational meaning behind a technical specification, together with our in-house domain expertsyou have technical and non-technical communication skills (up to the level of business analyst) with the client's representativesyou are proactive in identifying specific problems and propose solutions, like introducing relevant functionalities for application developmentyou prefer to have autonomy in project execution and you are comfortable working in a small team, on a product that is still being shapedyou have curiosity and a desire for professional developmentyou like to work in an office (5 days a week) and be employed with a permanent contract (CIM)you are a Romanian citizen and able to obtain a security clearance - a requirement for certain projects in this fieldAll the above will enable you to:1/ act as part of a development team to design, implement and document GIS software functionalities for BC2A Software suite applications (based on NATO/military standards), in line with internal engineering and quality procedures2/ design and develop a GIS Framework that integrates various map formats: vector, raster, elevation, OGC3/ create and display complex symbols based on specific military standards4/ ensure cross-platform compatibility and optimize performance5/ create user-friendly interfaces and design the software for extensibility6/ capture & analyze contract and project requirements and participate in designing of new products architecture7/ implement new functionalities on existing products, as well as maintain and troubleshoot themTherefore, it is mandatory to have these technical skills:Degree in Computer Science or similar, with solid *senior-level experience* (minimum 5 years, 8+ preferred)Programming concepts (OOP, SOLID)C# programming languageMicrosoft .NET FrameworkMathematic skills for calculation of complex symbols drawing on mapsOpenGL library, with focus on 3D graphics and performance optimization (nice to have)Experience working with TFS/GIT for version controlCapability to analyze technical standards to be able to design and implement solutions which are compliant with these standardsAdvanced level of EnglishAll the details regarding the salary package and the benefits offered by our client will be discussed with the selected candidates, during the first interview.If you like to take actions and fulfill them, send us your CV at contact@hrdesignconsulting.ro and we will be happy to include you in the selection process.For more information about the processing of personal data in the recruitment process, please refer to the information available on our website at:https://www.hrdesignconsulting.ro/gdpr/informare-prelucrare-date-pentru-recrutare-personal/
