We help them understand market changes, evaluate scenarios and decide when to act.We’re hiring a senior software engineer to own the systems that connect our forecasting and market intelligence with customers’ data, tools and decisions.You’ll work on questions such as: How should an agent investigate a change in raw-material prices? Which evidence should support its recommendation? When should it request more information or hand the decision to a person?What you’ll ownBuild and operate Python services that combine LLMs, forecasting tools, external data and customer systems.Design agent workflows, retrieval and tool integrations, choosing architectures that are straightforward to test and maintain.Build evaluations that measure answer quality, evidence quality and task completion.Implement validation, permissions, retries and fallbacks so failures are detected and handled.Improve observability, latency, concurrency and cost as usage grows.Work with our founders and ML team to turn customer problems into production features.You’ll have substantial influence over architecture and responsibility for how these systems behave after deployment.What we’re looking forStrong Python and backend engineering experience, including asynchronous services, APIs, databases and testing.Experience owning production software: deploying it, monitoring it, debugging failures and improving it.Hands-on experience building applications with LLMs, including tool calling, retrieval or multi-step workflows.Good judgment about reliability, performance and architectural trade-offs.The ability to take an ambiguous problem, propose an approach and carry it through to delivery.Your previous job title might be Software Engineer, Backend Engineer, Platform Engineer or AI Engineer. We’re interested in what you’ve built and the decisions you made.Our current stackPython, FastAPI, PostgreSQL / pgvector, LangChain / LangGraph and MCP integrations.Experience with these tools is useful.
