We're also at the forefront of innovation, leveraging AI-generated content to scale efficiently.Role Overview:We are hiring for a Senior Software Engineer – Backend who will be responsible for building high-performance APIs, scalable microservices, and robust infrastructure powering our audio platform.This is a high-ownership role that requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a mind set to work in a fast-paced product environment.Note: What We’re Looking ForWe are looking for senior engineers who have worked on highly scalable systems and have experience handling peak traffic at scale.Candidates should ideally have:Built and owned consumer/user-facing products where their work had a direct impact on end users and the ability to handle significant traffic and scale.OR worked on high-scale B2B platforms serving massive traffic, data, or enterprise workloads.Demonstrated experience in owning projects end-to-end, from architecture and design to implementation, deployment, and scaling.Had opportunities to build systems/features from scratch, make key technical decisions, and drive them independently.Proven ability to take strong technical ownership and solve complex scalability, reliability, and performance challenges.The expectation is not just experience working on large systems, but someone who has personally driven meaningful parts of those systems end-to-end and has had hands-on exposure to scale and peak traffic.Key Responsibilities:Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Python or GolangDevelop and manage RESTful APIs for mobile/web platforms and internal toolsCollaborate closely with product, design, and analytics teams to deliver features at scaleOptimize performance, ensure high availability, and handle large-scale trafficWrite clean, modular, and testable code adhering to software best practicesLead debugging efforts, production issue resolution, and post-mortem analysisParticipate in code reviews and continuously drive technical improvementsSkills & Qualifications:3–5 years of backend development experience in Python or GolangStrong understanding of data structures, algorithms, OOP, operating systems, and networking.Proven experience developing and managing REST APIsProficient in working with databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and RedisHands-on experience with cloud platforms – AWS, GCP, or AzureExperience with Docker or other container technologiesFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment best practicesExperience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stackExperience with Git and version control workflowsContributions to open-source projects or a strong personal backend project portfolioBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical disciplineStrong communication skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindsetYou can get more updates, insights and everything behind the scenes at Pocket FM here -https://xtra.pocketfm.com/
