Senior Software Engineer

Role OverviewWe are seeking a Python Software Engineer to support and enhance our internal trading and operations technology stack. This role focuses on building and improving system integrations, ensuring high‑quality data flows, and supporting critical applications used across the firm. You will work closely with investment, operations, and technology teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions that drive efficiency and accuracy across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Development & EnhancementDevelop, maintain, and improve a complex in‑house application ecosystem.Refactor and optimize existing components to increase performance, reliability, and scalability.Systems Integration & Data EngineeringBuild and maintain data integrations across trading, reporting, and operational systems.Ensure consistent, accurate, and timely data flow between internal and external platforms.Automation & ToolingDesign and implement automation scripts and utilities to streamline operational workflows.Introduce new tools and frameworks that reduce manual effort and improve system reliability.Application SupportProvide technical support for internal applications (e.g., performance reporting tools).Troubleshoot and resolve issues with hosted platforms such as Charles River and Geneva.Cross‑Functional CollaborationPartner with portfolio managers, traders, Investor Relations, and Fund Accounting to understand business needs.Translate requirements into technical solutions that enhance operational efficiency.Documentation & Continuous ImprovementMaintain clear, comprehensive documentation for systems, integrations, and processes.Identify opportunities to improve system performance, data quality, and workflow automation.Required Qualifications4+ years of hands‑on Python development experience.Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.Solid understanding of version control, testing, and software engineering best practices.Experience with API integrations and data exchange protocols.
