This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working across the stack while also contributing to the reliability, scalability, and performance of core systems.You will operate at the intersection of product development and platform engineering, owning features end to end while also contributing to the infrastructure, services, and tooling that enable the broader engineering team to move quickly and build with confidence. This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving environment where strong individual contributors help shape both systems and technical direction.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and ship full stack product features across frontend interfaces and backend servicesDesign and develop APIs, services, and systems that support core product functionalityContribute to shared infrastructure and internal tooling that improves developer experience and engineering velocityImprove system reliability, performance, and scalability across production environmentsImplement monitoring, logging, and observability practices to support high-quality systemsSupport deployment, testing, and release workflows to ensure consistent deliveryInvestigate and resolve production issues, performance bottlenecks, and system failuresCollaborate with product, AI, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, user-facing functionalityContribute to architectural decisions and long-term technical directionQualifications5+ years of software engineering experienceExperience building and operating production-grade applicationsStrong backend fundamentals and experience designing APIs and distributed systemsExperience working across the stack, including building user-facing featuresStrong debugging and problem-solving abilityFamiliarity with cloud infrastructure and modern deployment workflowsExperience building scalable, reliable systems in production environmentsExperience working in early-stage startup environmentsComfortable owning ambiguous, high-impact problems from concept through implementationStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teamsNice to HaveExperience building internal tools or developer platformsBackground in platform, infrastructure, or reliability-focused engineeringExperience working on systems with high availability or performance requirementsExposure to AI-driven products, data platforms, or document-based workflowsExperience engineering in financial services or fintech environmentsCompensation & BenefitsBase salary starting at $165,000+Equity participationOnsite work environment in New York CityHigh-impact role with strong ownership in a fast-growing team
