This role is designed for a polyglot engineer who thriveson building resilient, distributed systems and enjoys the challenge of hands-on technicalmentorship.Working directly with the Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the developmentlifecycle, focusing on unblocking the team, ensuring high engineering standards, andoverseeing the delivery of complex technical tasks. You will own the technical health of thesprint, ensuring that the team’s output is performant, scalable, and delivered on time.Core Responsibilities• Technical Mentorship & Unblocking: Act as the primary technical guide for the engineeringsquad, working closely with the VP to resolve complex bottlenecks, conduct rigorous codereviews, and mentor developers through intricate implementation challenges.• Delivery & Execution Oversight: Translate architectural designs into executable tasks andmanage the engineering roadmap in alignment with the VP's vision, ensuring the teammaintains high velocity and ships robust, scalable, and high-quality code.Technical Requirements• 3-5 years of experience in backend development with a focus on core product engineering andtechnical leadership.• Polyglot Proficiency: Mastery in at least two of the following: Golang, Node.js, or Python. Youmust be highly adaptable and capable of guiding the team across multiple languages asrequired by the system.• Distributed Systems Mastery: Deep experience in developing and scaling distributed systems,with a thorough understanding of concurrency, consistency models, and high-availabilitypatterns.• Messaging & Middleware: Expert-level knowledge of Kafka (topic design, consumer groups,and partitioning logic) and other high-throughput messaging queues.• Database Expertise: Extensive experience with RDBMS (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQLdatabases (MongoDB, Cassandra, or Redis). You understand how to optimize queries andstructure data for scale.• Cloud-Native Infrastructure: In-depth understanding of Kubernetes and Docker. You arecomfortable navigating containerized environments and overseeing the technical aspects ofCI/CD pipelines.• System Design Fundamentals: Strong foundations in system design, including cachingstrategies, load balancing, and API gateway implementations.• Performance Engineering: Proven ability to identify bottlenecks in complex systems and guidethe team in optimizing code for low-latency and high-throughput.Preferred Qualifications• Practical knowledge or high interest in Agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGPT) andtheir integration into backend services.• Experience with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and Service Mesh architecture.• Proficiency in monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELKstack.Soft Skills• Mentorship-First Mindset: A genuine passion for teaching and helping other engineers grow.• Pragmatic Problem Solver: Ability to balance technical debt with the need for speed andscalability.• Effective Communicator: Capable of explaining technical trade-offs clearly to both theengineering
