This approach helps teams reduce friction, improve collaboration, and accelerate the development and deployment of AI-powered solutions.Role Description As a Senior Software Engineer at BatonDeck, you will design, build, and maintain backend services that power our AI workflow orchestration platform. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into reliable, scalable software solutions. Typical responsibilities include implementing APIs, integrating AI tools, optimizing system performance, reviewing code, and improving development practices. You will also mentor less experienced engineers, contribute to architectural decisions, and help ensure high-quality releases. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.Qualifications Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and systems design.Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, with experience building production-grade services.Advanced Programming skills and hands-on experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.Experience designing and consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs, and working with microservices or distributed systems.Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.Familiarity with integrating AI/ML services or APIs, or strong interest in AI-driven products.Ability to write clean, testable code and use version control and modern development tooling effectively.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
