Established in 2008, Geidea epitomizes customer focused empowerment and commercial success through continuous innovation.Geidea makes best in class digital payment solutions available for all by attracting and leveraging the best creative & entrepreneurial talent in the marketOur solutions give any business the chance to get ahead and reach for more no matter their size or maturity.Our technology mirrors our people - Smart, Innovative & Forward Thinkingwww.geidea.netTo maintain a competitive advantage as we grow, we are currently looking for a new "Senior Software Engineer"Job purpose: The Software Engineer – Backend is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reliable, scalable, and secure backend services for the Geidea Store platform.The role contributes to the development of services supporting device management, application lifecycle management, software distribution, device telemetry, remote connectivity, authentication, and other platform capabilities.The position works closely with Android, Frontend, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, Product, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions capable of supporting large-scale production environments.Responsibilities:Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.Develop and maintain microservices following established architecture, coding, security, and design standards.Design efficient data models and implement reliablecommunication using databases, Kafka, MQTT, and other messaging technologies.Implement secure authentication, authorization, API security, and application-level controls while ensuring service reliability.Analyze application performance, troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent solutions.Collaborate with Android, Frontend, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Product teams to deliver end-to-end platform capabilities.Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, design activities, documentation, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.Qualifications:5-7 years of professional experience in backend software development.Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.Experience developing and maintaining REST APIs and backend services.Experience working with microservices-based applications.Experience working in an Agile/Scrum software development environment.Our values guide how we think and act - They describe what we care about the mostCustomer first - It’s embedded in our design thinking and customer service approachOpen - Openness allows us to constantly improve and evolveReal - No jargon and no excuses!Bold - Constantly challenging ourselves and our way of thinking.Resilient – If we fail, we bounce back stronger than before.Collaborative - We know that we can achieve a lot more as a team.We are changing lives by constantly striving for a better solution.
