Senior Software Engineer LNG Team | Perm | £140,000London | Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite Harrington Starr is partnering with a leading energy trading business to hire a Senior LNG Engineer.This is a hands-on senior engineering role working within the LNG technology function to design and deliver complex platform enhancements, improve resilience and modernise technology supporting a critical LNG trading business.The Role:Lead the design and delivery of complex platform enhancementsOwn technical solutions from design through to deployment and production supportResolve complex production incidents and drive root cause analysisImprove code quality, testing, supportability and platform resilienceWork closely with Product, Business Analysis and Architecture teamsContribute to platform strategy and technical debt reductionInfluence future technology and architectural decisionsMentor engineers through technical guidance, knowledge sharing and code reviewsImprove automation, observability, deployment processes and DevOps maturityWhat We're Looking For:Strong C#/.NET development experienceExpertise in APIs, integrations and distributed systemsExperience building cloud-native applicationsStrong understanding of software architecture, scalability, resilience and securityExperience with AWS and/or AzureStrong SQL and data analysis skillsExperience with CI/CD and automated testingProven experience leading complex technical initiatives in business-critical environmentsExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsExperience mentoring and supporting other engineersBackground in energy trading, LNG, commodities or ETRM/CTRM is highly desirableExperience with Endur, EOS or other energy trading platforms is advantageousBenefits:Opportunity to work on technology supporting a global energy trading businessSenior-level ownership and influence over technology directionExposure to modern cloud, DevOps and engineering practicesStrong focus on professional development and technical growthFlexible total rewards and employee supportIf you’re a Senior Engineer with strong C#/.NET, cloud, APIs and distributed systems experience and are interested in LNG and energy trading technology, we’d love to hear from you.
